Timecentre:
In May 2004 Friends Of Blaengarw Workmen’s Hall launched an innovative project, the Blaengarw ‘Time Centre’, the first of its kind in Wales. Encouraging people to help out in the hall or in the community, the ‘Time Centre’ runs on the simple principle that for every hour of your time that you give to the Centre you can take an hour back from the Centre, for example attending special Blaengarw Time Events such as bingo sessions, concerts, quizzes, themed nights, community TV nights and other social events.
For up coming events, which you can pay for in credits, click here.
How it works...
Step 1 - Become a member of the Blaengarw Time Centre by signing up and collecting your welcome pack.
Step 2 - Have an informal chat with Don Sage or David Pugh (contact via the hall on 01656871911) about what you can give to the Timecentre and what kind of events you would like to attend.
Step 3 - Begin to gain Time Credits by helping at the Centre or participating in a community project.
How to gain Time Credits...
Help in the Time Centre - assisting after schools club, helping with social events, maintenance, admin, mentoring, delivering leaflets...
Help in the Community - Participate in community based projects, for example summer play schemes, events, environmental projects and arts projects.
Time Credits are transferable and can even be given as gifts for friends and family to use.
Blaengarw Workmen’s Hall Timecentre is here to help you, to help others and to help your community as a whole. See how you could get involved in Wales’ first Timecentre.

Murals can be designed to any requirements, depending on the site. Please call for any further information.
